What we wire, repair, and bring up to code.

Two sides of one shop. Residential work across the Mohawk Valley, and certified subcontract work for builders, property managers, and housing authorities.

Service area

Amsterdam and the greater Mohawk Valley, including Montgomery, Fulton, Schenectady, and Saratoga counties.

For your home

6 services
1

Panel upgrades and service changes

Replace an undersized or obsolete load center with a modern panel sized for how the building is actually used.

Older homes in the Mohawk Valley were wired for a fraction of the load they carry today. We size the service correctly, coordinate the utility disconnect and reconnect, install the new load center with a labeled circuit directory, and leave the work ready for inspection.

2

Rewiring and old wiring replacement

Full or partial rewires, including knob and tube and deteriorated cloth wiring found in older housing stock.

We plan a rewire around the way you live in the building, staging the work so the house stays usable. Circuits are separated sensibly, grounding is brought up to current code, and every device is tested before we close walls back up.

3

Standby generator installation

Automatic standby systems and transfer switches so essential circuits stay live through an outage.

We help you decide which circuits genuinely need backup, install the transfer switch and generator pad, and commission the system so it exercises and transfers the way it should.

4

EV charger installation

Level 2 home charging installed on a dedicated circuit, with the panel capacity checked first.

Charger installs go wrong when nobody checks the existing service. We run a load calculation before quoting, then install on a properly sized dedicated circuit with the disconnect and protection the code requires.

5

Lighting, outlets, and switches

Fixture work, added circuits, additional outlets, dimmers, fans, and device replacement.

The everyday work that makes a building easier to live in. Added kitchen circuits, exterior and security lighting, bath fans vented properly, and outlets where you actually need them.

6

Troubleshooting and repair

Tracking down the cause of a breaker that keeps tripping, a dead circuit, or intermittent power.

We diagnose before we replace. That means finding the actual fault rather than swapping parts until the symptom goes away, then repairing it so it stays fixed.

How a job runs

Four steps, and no surprises in the middle of them.

  1. Step 1

    Walk the job

We look at the actual service, panel, and conditions before quoting anything. Guesses turn into change orders.

  2. Step 2

    Scope in writing

You get a written scope that says what is included, what is not, and what happens if we open a wall and find a surprise.

  3. Step 3

    Do the work

Clean runs, labeled circuits, protected finishes, and a site left in a state you would not mind walking into.

  4. Step 4

    Test and hand over

Everything gets tested and documented, and the panel directory is filled in so the next person is not guessing.

For your project

4 services

Work for general contractors, property managers, municipalities, and housing authorities, where documentation matters as much as the wiring.

7

Unit turnovers and housing authority work

Fast, documented electrical turnovers for housing authorities and property managers.

Turnovers live or die on scheduling and paperwork. We work to the unit turnover window, document what was found and what was corrected, and keep units moving back into occupancy.

8

Maintenance and repair contracts

Ongoing electrical maintenance for multi building portfolios and public properties.

Recurring inspection and repair on a schedule you set, with consistent reporting so the same issue does not get logged four times across four buildings.

9

Code corrections and violation removal

Correcting cited electrical deficiencies and getting the property back into compliance.

We read the citation, scope exactly what it requires, correct it, and give you documentation that holds up on reinspection.

10

Energy efficient lighting retrofits

LED retrofits and controls that lower operating cost across common areas and exteriors.

Retrofits are measured in the utility bill, not the fixture count. We look at run hours, controls, and light levels together so the savings are real and the spaces stay well lit.

Not sure which of these you need?

Describe the problem in plain words. We have heard it before, and we will tell you honestly whether it is a repair or a bigger job.
